    Hey everyone,

I run a small brand account that used to be pretty active on Twitter (X), but lately it’s just not performing the way it used to. Engagement is way down, and honestly I’m questioning whether it’s even worth keeping the account around. I’m thinking about deleting it entirely, but I don’t want to hurt SEO or lose credibility with past followers.

Has anyone here deleted their business or creator Twitter account? Did it impact your brand at all? Is there a smarter alternative—like deactivating or wiping old tweets instead? What is the best way forward?

Appreciate any insights before I pull the trigger.

Yeah, I actually went through the same thing earlier this year with my creator account. Twitter just wasn’t bringing in traffic anymore, and it started feeling more like a liability than an asset. I ended up keeping mine after archiving a few key tweets, and I decided to buy Twitter likes to see if that made a difference. I did see an increase and was able to get things over the plateau.

If you’re even slightly unsure, you might want to just deactivate or clean up your timeline first. Tools like TweetDelete or Circleboom can help wipe everything while keeping the account live—so you don’t lose your handle or SEO juice entirely.

Also, just being honest, I do recommend buying Twitter likes or followers to refresh your reach, just make sure you do so from a reputable source like Twesocial. Might be worth testing before going nuclear on the account, since you can’t take that back. Hope it works for you
